HARP - Home Affordable Refinance Program Extended Until 2015

April 24, 2013

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has announced the extension of the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) by two years to December 31, 2015. The program was set to expire on December 31, 2013. More than 2 million homeowners have refinanced through HARP, which prompted the FHFA to extend “the program so more underwater borrowers can benefit from lower interest rates”, according to FHFA Director Edward J. DeMarco.
